Marissa
Marissa Muccio graduated Kean University and University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 98' with a Bachelor's in Physical Therapy. Her professional passion has always been providing the highest quality service to pediatric patients, their families, and the community. For over a decade, she has worked in a wide variety of pediatric settings including:
Neonatal intensive care units, neuromuscular teams, cranial facial teams, pediatric oncology, general pediatric in-patient hospital, out-patient clinic for neurological and orthopedic conditions, Aquatics, Early Intervention and home care.
As an APTA certified clinical instructor, she has been working with Rutgers’ both campus' to provide a quality comprehensive pediatric affiliation experience for physical therapy doctoral students. In 2005 she acquired advanced certification in Neuro-Developmental Treatment for Pediatrics. In 2011 she became one of the first C2 level certified therapists in the US for the 3 dimensional treatment of scoliosis via the Barcelona Scoliosis Physiotherapy School.

Memberships past and present include: APTA, APTANJ, NDTA, SOSORT and SRS.

As the owner and president of PRNY, she has been proud to watch this practice grow from a single PT provider to a well respected, multi-disciplined pediatric practice that has served the tri-state area for over a decade. It currently staffs PTs, OTs, SPs, counseling and adapted personal training.
Co-authored "The Parent's Journey" a 7 part series of lectures outlining the main areas of concern as a family begins their journey with children with special needs.

She is happily married, living in northern NJ, and has a son who is an officer in the United States Marines. They are also a licensed foster family for state of NJ.
